University of California, San Diego Campus ADA Transition Plan – Compliance GIS Tool

Project Overview:

UCSD is creating a transition Plan to address existing campus facilities and identify potential upgrades required for compliance with Title II of the ADA and Title 24 of the California Building Standards Code (CBSC) with respect to disabled access.

Scope of Work:

PanGIS GIS Analysts created an ArcGIS Online custom application to help UCSD manage their ADA compliance on campus.  A total of 300 ADA locations with compliance issues were mapped in GIS using aerial photos and GPS coordinates.  The Geodatabase had an associated relational database tailored to the client’s specification. The ArcGIS Online application allowed non-GIS users to view compliance locations, update the tables, and output information to MS Excel.
