Southern California Edison (SCE) Large Cap L030 Ivanpah-Control GIS Support

SCE Ivanpah Control GIS

Project Overview:

The project is approximately 360 miles long and runs from Ivanpah Substation in San Bernardino County near the California/Nevada state line, south to Coolwater Substation near Barstow, then west to Kramer Substation and finally north to Control station near Bishop.  The purpose of the project is to enhance the safety of SCE’s sub-transmission system.

Scope of Work:

PanGIS GIS specialists used Esri’s ArcPro to create location, archaeological site and isolate maps for site record forms created for 100s of newly discovered and updated archaeological sites and isolates found during the initial, pre-construction surveys of the Ivanpah to Control transmission lines.
