Provide geographic information system (GIS) for pole brushing services for a major utility company in San Diego and Orange Counties, California.
PanGIS designs archaeological models and utilizes GIS spatial analysis to predict which poles need to be surveyed for environmental resources based on a variety of factors including previous surveys, slope, and distance to known resources. PanGIS lead staff make recommendations to Sempra Energy based on staff findings and direct field crews in surveying and monitoring the poles based on recommendations. Staff create field map books and GPS background files, and manage a fleet of tablet computers to aid with resource surveys.
